Three Essex-based charities and not-for-profits shortlisted in major third sector awards

Markel UK, a leading insurer of not-for-profit organisations with over 10,000 clients in the sector is delighted to announce that three Essex-based charities have been shortlisted in this year’s Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards, taking place on Friday 3rd March 2023 at The Grand Hotel, Birmingham.

Those shortlisted from Essex are:

Emma Kiss, Activities Co-ordinator, Outlook Care – Dementia Care Award
Badger Wing Team – Foxburrow Grange – Dementia Care Award
St Helena Hospice – End of Life Care Award
Now in their ninth year, The Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards recognises and rewards the hard work, dedication, innovation and excellence of the not-for-profit sector and all those who make a positive difference to people’s lives.

The awards are designed to reward the hard work, dedication, innovation and excellence of everyone working in the not-for-profit sector who is making a positive difference to people’s lives, whether they are supporting children or adults.

“Every year we hear some fantastic stories about how charities up and down the country are supporting those in need and this year is no different,” said Neil Galjaard, divisional managing director at Markel UK. “These entries were amongst many outstanding submissions. We are delighted to see them in the shortlist and wish them the best of luck in the final.”
