Heritage Live has announced that the internationally acclaimed BJÖRN AGAIN will headline a Friday night show packed with disco and soul hits in the grounds of English Heritage’s Audley End House & Gardens, the latest addition to its outdoor concert series there this summer. Special guests for the event, which takes place on Friday 4th August, will be The Real Thing and Boney M, as well as Saffron Walden’s own Miss Disco. On the show, Heritage Live Organiser Giles Cooper said: “We can’t wait to welcome BJÖRN AGAIN and our special guests, The Real Thing, Boney M and Miss Disco to the magical venue of Audley End. With so many classic songs between them, this will most definitely be a party to remember!” Dubbed the ‘Best ABBA Show in the World’, BJÖRN AGAIN have gained mass appeal since their inception in 1988 and have been acknowledged as initiating the worldwide ABBA revival. Created by Australian musician and manager Rod Stephen, BJÖRN AGAIN has registered 5,500 performances in 75 countries, even gaining plaudits from the members of ABBA themselves: “It was a great show. I loved the choreography, it was very true to life…” – Agnetha Fältskog, founding member of ABBA. Formed in 1972, The Real Thing universally known for their legendary hits ‘You To Me Are Everything’, ‘Can’t Get By Without You’ and ‘Can You Feel the Force’, as well as their ground-breaking 1977 song, ‘Children of the Ghetto’, The Real Thing remain pioneers in soul, funk and dance music.
