Award winning housebuilder Crest Nicholson has announced it has acquired land for a new development, located on Gilda Terrace, on the Western edge of Braintree, Essex. The 12-acre site will deliver 120 high quality new homes to the area, of which 36 will be affordable.

With a range of one to five bedroom new homes available, including maisonettes, bungalows and houses, there will be something to suit a variety of purchasers, from first time buyers, to growing families looking to upsize, and downsizers. Work is anticipated to start in summer 2023, with residents expected to be welcomed from early 2024.

Situated within the popular town of Braintree in Essex, the new development will provide walking routes, a green space for residents and an equipped play area. The centre of Braintree is around a mile away, providing residents with easy walking access to make the most of the wide array of shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants on offer. Braintree station is just over a mile and a half away and provides direct trains into London Liverpool Street station.

Alex Stark, Executive Managing Director at Crest Nicholson Eastern, comments: “We’re pleased to announce this acquisition in Braintree, enabling us to respond to local demand for high quality new homes in the area. With a range of house types and sizes on offer, plus bungalows and maisonettes, there will be plenty to suit a variety of buyers.”
