Harlow Council is set to confirm next week the appointment of Andrew Bramidge as its new permanent Chief Executive.

The recommendation will be made to the special Full Council meeting being held on Tuesday 22 November.

The council started recruitment for a permanent Chief Executive in September. A shortlist for the position was agreed on 10 November and the council’s Appointments Panel met yesterday (17 November) to interview shortlisted candidates. The panel unanimously agreed that Andrew should be recommended as the permanent Chief Executive.

Andrew is currently the council’s Director of Strategic Growth and Regeneration having previously been Head of Environment and Planning. He joined the council in November 2013 as Project Director – Enterprise Zone and led the successful delivery of that project working with the private sector and local partner organisations. Andrew was also formerly Chief Executive of Harlow Renaissance from 2006 to 2011 and has held several senior management roles in regeneration partnerships and private companies.

It is also recommended that Andrew is the Head of Paid Service as well as Returning Officer and Electoral Registration Officer.
