WEDNESDAY 23rd of March marks National Puppy Day and to celebrate, dog-friendly poke restaurant chain, Poke House, is launching a secret menu item, a dog-friendly poke bowl. And, if that wasn’t enough, they’ll be giving them away for free for a whole week.

All you need to do to get your hands (or paws) on the secret menu Poke Pup bowl, is come into one of the six London based restaurant sites with your pooch and say “Poke Pup’s” to a member of staff and your furry friend will receive a delicious and nutritious bowl, completely free of charge.

Each “Poke Pup” bowl is packed full of nutritious ingredients to keep your best buds healthy, happy and – importantly – not hungry. On the advice of leading dog nutritionist, Cam Wimble, each bowl will contain a base of quinoa, chicken, courgette, red cabbage, and nori seaweed, perfect to keep your dog healthy this Spring.

Leading dog nutritionist and Founder at The Dog Nutritionist, Cam Wimble, said: “Dog’s thrive from a balanced diet and what a lot of people don’t know is that vegetables can be very important to their dog’s general wellbeing.

“We’ve created a protein-rich bowl with lots of delicious chicken and have even included quinoa as it contains all 10 essential amino acids for dogs. Protein and amino acids are the building blocks of life, they help keep your dog bouncy and mobile and their coat glossy and so this season.

“Prebiotic fibres in the cabbage and the soluble fibres in the courgette work to keep your dog’s gut healthy and support their immune system. All topped with Nori seaweed, which is a great source of iodine, which will help support healthy hormone function.”
