Hotel booking platform, hoo, has taken a look at 13 of the best celeb owned hotels around the world and just how much it costs per night to visit them.

From footballers to film stars, pop icons to fashion royalty, hotels are a popular avenue of investment for the rich and famous and celebrity owned hotels can be found all over the world from Dubai to Dublin.

But a visit to one is likely to cost you and hoo’s research shows that the average price per room will set you back £298 per night.

Palazzo Margherita Hotel – £758 per night

The most prestigious of the lot is the Palazzo Margherita Hotel in Bernalda, Italy. Owned by renowned American film director and producer, Francis Ford Coppola, a room at the Palazzo Margherita will cost you around £758 per night.

Cromlix – £495 per night

While Britain’s greatest tennis star Andy Murray may describe himself as boring, his hotel in Stirling, Scotland, is far from it. Set in 34 acres of secluded woodlands, a stay there will cost you a hefty £495 per night.

Palazzo Versace Dubai – £255 per night

Located minutes from the Burj Khalifa the Palazzo Versace, as you’ve probably guessed, is owned by fashion designer Donatella Versace and is said to be reminiscent of a 16th century Italian palace. At £255 per night, it’s far from cheap but relatively affordable in comparison to her latest Medusa collection.

Famous on screen faces

Hotels seem to be a popular endeavour amongst stars of the silver screen and Robert De Niro’s Greenwich Hotel in New York is the priciest at £471 per night.

Richard Gere’s Bedford Post Inn comes in at £466 per night, while Hugh Jackman’s Gwinganna Health Retreat in Aus (£298), Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel in California (£209) and Robert Redford’s Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah (£193) are slightly more affordable.

If music is more your thing, a stay at Bono’s Clarence Hotel in Dublin comes in at £218 per night, while Abba’s Benny Andersson will host you at his hotel Rival in Stockholm for £142 per night.

Football favourites

Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo has a hotel and a stay at his Pestana CR7 Funchal on his home island of Madeira will cost you a fairly affordable £134.

If you’re more of a Messi fan, a night at the MiM hotel in Sitges, Spain, costs just £128 per night.

But for the ultimate in celeb hotel affordability, there’s only one place to head and that’s Hotel Football in Manchester. Owned by Gary Neville and the Class of 92, it’s the most affordable celeb owned hotel at just £112 per night.
