More than a fifth of Brits regularly dream about the Royal family (21%) a new study has found, and the members that make the most appearances may surprise you.

The research by luxury bedroom furnishings specialists The French Bedroom Company polled 2,002 Brits to find out which Royals we’ve been dreaming about and whether the release of The Crown and Bridgerton has had an impact.

Results show some surprises with more people dreaming of Prince Philip than Prince William, Prince Charles higher than Prince Harry, and the future King taking the top spot. With 12% saying they’ve had a dream come true, and 27% in a relationship with the person of their dreams, will Brits be in for a happy ending?

Diana Princess of Wales is a focal point in the storyline of the recent Crown series, so it was expected that she may be a favourite to appear in our dreams. However, Charles Prince of Wales was noted as the most common Royal to appear in our dreams with 16% of the vote.

Antonia Harman, healer and dream expert at Divine Empowerment, explains “If we dream of famous people or Royals, what elements of their character do you more admire or loath? What is related in your own life? It’s really about how you see that person and what is potentially lacking in you.”

The second Royal Brits are dreaming of is Catherine Duchess of Cambridge with 15% of the vote. The nation’s sweetheart takes centre stage in a variety of charitable events and tours. The Duchess, otherwise known as Kate, is yet to make an appearance in The Crown, with fans speculating if the sixth and final series will include the love story of Will and Kate.

Next in line is Princess Diana whom 14.7% have been dreaming about. With a monthly search volume of 80,000, the Princess is one of the most discussed Royals in the UK.

In joint fourth is Queen Elizabeth II with her daughter Anne Princess Royal (14.6%). Following her popularity in The Crown, the Princess Anne Wikipedia page has had over 51,000 visits this month with many asking about her age, marriage, and residence. Although 12th in line to the throne, Princess Anne is in fourth spot with 14.6% of Brits claiming to have dreamt of her.
