Haslers is starting 2021 with a celebration of its 70th anniversary. The firm, which works with a wide range of businesses across Essex and the South East, has been supporting companies and individuals with its proactive tax, accounting and business advice since 1951.

It has developed a strong reputation for providing exceptional services and is a specialist in a number of fields, including the finances of charities, schools and owner-managed, small to medium-sized businesses.

The firm was originally founded by Harry Hasler, who for more than 20 years operated on his own. Then in 1973, Michael Gould joined the practice and the two of them worked from a spare bedroom in Harry’s home in Seven Kings.

From humble beginnings, the firm grew moving to larger premises in South Woodford, then Woodford Green in 1977 and then to their current office in Old Station Road, Loughton in 2005.

Since then, the firm has merged a number of times the latest one being carried out during the first Covid 19 lockdown with Gane Jackson Scott in 2020.

It now over 100 staff members, 10 partners and works with thousands of clients, many of whom have been with the firm for decades.

Jon O’Shea, Haslers’ Chairman and Senior Tax Partner, said: “We are really proud of our long history and our ongoing success. To go from a sole partner practice to one of the region’s biggest firms is a real achievement, which wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our team, clients and the local community.

“Reaching our 70th anniversary is a great accomplishment and one that I hope others will celebrate alongside us. With more exciting plans for the future, I am sure we will continue to grow and support more businesses.”

As well as supporting local businesses, Haslers has become well-known for its charitable work via its dedication foundation, which to date has raised and donated more than £180,000 to local causes.
