This July, Italian restaurant Zizzi is launching the UK’s first multi-sensory ‘Golden Hour’ restaurant in a bid to bring the best parts of summer indoors.
For one week, Zizzi is applying a real life golden hour Instagram filter to its St Giles restaurant in London to give diners the chance to enjoy an Italian summer meal under a golden light installation – which will even give customers a mood-boosting dose of vitamin D. The restaurant will also be filled with the sounds and smells of summer to create a fully multi-sensory dining experience.
To help diners get into the summer mood before they’ve even sat down, Zizzi will also be treating the first 100 people into the St Giles experience to an Aperol Spritz on the house.
The Golden Hour restaurant has been inspired by the Instagram obsession which has seen the hashtag #GoldenHour used more than 5 million times already this year. The restaurant has been designed to pay homage to the magic hour just before the sun sets when everything from drinks, food and people look and feel their best – no filter needed.
For those outside of London, Zizzi will also be running a number of ‘Golden Hour’ offers nationwide including a special summer set menu featuring new dishes such as Rainbow Gnocchi and Golden Honeycomb Cheesecake. Restaurants across the country will also be gifting lucky tables with rounds of drinks on the house during a special Golden ‘Happy’ Hour. Zizzi will also be rolling out the multi-sensory dining experience to Glasgow and Manchester with both experiences opening in the next week.
Zizzi’s sensory Golden Hour experience will take place from 10th July – 17th July at Zizzi London St Giles. To book, call the St Giles restaurant on 020 3302 0019 and ask to be seated in summer golden hour.
