Families and the young-at-heart had a Marvel-lous time at Festival Leisure Park in Basildon on Sunday 21st April as the popular leisure destination was invaded by superheroes and villains for a fun-packed Easter Sunday!

Offering free fun for all the family, the event took place outside Cineworld and Hollywood Bowl, seeing hundreds of families descend to Festival Leisure Park to meet the famous cars and characters from the popular superhero and villain films we love!

Children had the chance to get up close to the impressive cars, which included The Tumbler from Batman, Lighting McQueen and Kitt from Knight Rider.

Children couldn’t contain their excitement to see and meet their favourite film-star characters and posed for pictures alongside Iron Man, Chewbacca, Spiderman, The Joker, Bat Girl and Captain America just to name a few. There were also plenty of matching costumes, with Festival Leisure Park inviting children to dress up as superheroes and villains.

To celebrate Easter, children also enjoyed taking part in Festival’s treasure hunt with the Easter Bunny on hand to give out some chocolate treats to those who completed the trail!

Matthew Chambers, Centre Manager at Festival Leisure Park, said “We were thrilled to welcome so many families along to our free Easter event and our Heroes and Villains stars proved very popular among our younger visitors. We’d like to thank the local community for their continued support and our Easter event was our way to show our thanks to all our guests who visit us throughout the year.”
