Talent agency boss Zack Smith has opened up about the mental and physical struggles he has faced in the last few days after becoming a target of social media trolls after featuring in an article in The Sun.

An article published in The Sun online yesterday misquoted Smith as saying he “refused to date women over size 8“.

Smith who runs Zip Talent Managenent sat down with me this afternoon to open up on on the on-going backlash he has received since the controversial news piece was published.

Smith opened up “I was invited to contribute to a piece for The Sun about my personal preference when it comes to women, given my open nature I candidly shared what I like and what I don’t like as much in the appearance of a woman”

“Under no circumstances do I discriminate or not date a woman because of her size, this part of the article was largely misquoted – I do prefer the slimmer woman however I have actually had girlfriends who are more curvy in the past” Smith added.

Since the article was published on Friday afternoon Smith has been the subject of attacks from trolls on Twitter and Instagram.

“People don’t understand how much their negative comments and abuse online can affect someone, I have been left traumatised by the death threats and other comments left for me on social media.” Smith said

“If we take away the fact that my comments in The Sun have been blown out of proportion – I am still a human being with emotions and I feel I should also be entitled to my own opinion.” adds Smith
