Brentwood Centre to use Time to Talk Day to talk mental health

Brentwood Centre is set to launch a new cafe opportunity on Time to Talk Day next week the 7th of February.

The Chat 1st Cafe launches on Thursday and will run for 2pm – 4pm every Thursday and provide a space for people to drop by for a cuppa and a chat while having the chance to play chess, draughts, dominoes or a game of cards.

This coming Thursday 7th February is Time to Talk Day and this is all about bringing together the right ingredients, to have a conversation about mental health. Whether that’s tea, biscuits and close friends or a room full of people challenging mental health stigma, we want people to get talking.

Having conversations about mental health helps break down stereotypes, improve relationships, aid recovery and take the stigma out of something that affects us all. There are lots of different ways to have a conversation about mental health. And you don’t have to be an expert to talk.
