Fairfields Farm Develops Innovative Crisp Flavour for Virgin


Artisan crisp brand, Fairfields Farm, has just launched Honey, Butter & Sea Salt, a new sweet and salty flavour exclusive for Virgin Atlantic.

The essex based hand-cooked crisp brand has been working with Virgin Atlantic since the spring, giving passengers a chance to enjoy its delicious 20g bags on all flights and in all cabins.

To give passengers something extra special, it has worked with the airline to develop the Korean-inspired flavour – Honey, Butter & Sea Salt, a deliciously moorish sweet and salty combination which is available only in the air!

The flavour was the inspired suggestion of Chet Hansra, Virgin Atlantic’s Inflight Services Food and Beverage Manager who first fell in love with it while on holiday in Korea, where the unusual combination is popular. At the time he was working with Fairfields Farm to develop a new flavour crisp to serve onboard in all three cabins and this seemed like the perfect fit.

Now, passengers travelling on Virgin Atlantic will be able to enjoy Fairfields Farm Honey, Butter & Sea Salt crisps within the Economy second service afternoon tea boxes on flights to the US and Caribbean, as well as the Premium Wanderwall and Upper Class Snack Bar, to and from all its destinations globally.
