New Support for Tinnitus Sufferers in Hornchurch

0

A new group to support local people with tinnitus is being formed in Hornchurch. Tinnitus affects one in ten adults in the UK, and there are an estimated 6,300 people with the condition in the district alone, of whom nearly 700 find it significantly affects their quality of life.

The first meeting will take place on Tuesday 23 January 2018, 7-9pm at Hornchurch Library, Classroom 2, 44 North Street, Hornchurch, RM11 1TB.

The group is being organised by local volunteer Ray Francis who says: “I always thought I was on my own as I didn’t know anyone else experiencing tinnitus or that anyone else could. This group is for us to share, support and enable individuals to access the advice and support that they need to explore ways of managing this condition and share their own experiences with others.”
