Anna Kennedy on Strictly: “At the end of the day it’s an entertainment show”

Its been a mad busy week for me so a little late with my Strictly news this week.

Chatting to the lovely Robin Windsor again and we both agree a bit of a shock that Aston and Jeanette were eliminated since we thought they would surely be in the final.

Robin says:

‘Absolutely gutted for Aston and Janette but what I’m seeing online in the last few days is saddening – the hatred towards the judging panel and others is absurd – yes I thought the 4 from Craig was a bit steep but we have come to expect such amazing dances from Aston and this did not deliver as usual – Shirley made that final decision and she made it based on the DANCE OFF (which it should be) and molly and AJ’s dance was in fact better!!

If I was sat in her position as much as it would have killed me I would have made the same decision! It’s a huge shame because Aston and Janette were clear finalists – I suspect many people putting the blame somewhere didn’t actually pick up the phone and vote

Aston shouldn’t really have been in the dance off at all and if the public wanted to they COULD have saved him

Ruth was bottom of the leader board and she wasn’t in the dance off so proves votes do really make a difference!!

At the end of the day it’s an entertainment show which we should all enjoy – the hatred towards particular people needs to STOP!!

Ultimately if more people voted then this would not have happened – it is a reality TV show after all’

I will be recording this Saturdays episode since its our National Autism Hero Awards where we will celebrate 36 finalists chosen from hundreds of entries.

The atmosphere is buzzing in the office our charity event at Radisson Blu in Marble Arch. Our very good friends Pineapple Performing Arts will be opening the award ceremony with one of their energetic and wonderful dance routines.

So this Saturday Tess and Claudia will once again present the remaining couples who will dance to impress the judges and viewers. They are all hoping they will be chosen to dance at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom whoop!

Dance like no one is watching and throw glitter everywhere!!
