Ahead of the release of JAMES KERMACK’S debut feature, “HI-LO JOE”comes “BUCKING HELL”.

Set on a sinking ship, a cast of four; DAVID SCHAAL, GEOFF BRETON, NICKY EVANS, WARREN MAHON, play a deadly game to decide who gets the last lifejacket.

James’s debut feature HI-LO JOE is released in UK cinemas on November 24th 2017.

The psychological drama features Gethin Anthony, Tom Bateman, Thaila Zucchi, Joe Dixon and introduces breakout star Matthew Stathers as the title character Joe.

It was selected to be part of Film London Breakthrough, playing at the 2016 BFI Film Festival. It made its World Premiere at the prestigious 27th Dinard British Film Festival (2016) and has continued to be selected for festivals worldwide since.

Director James tells us: “My inspirations were simple. Since the age of 5, when I first saw Ben Gardeners eyeless socket bob beneath that boat, Steven Spielberg’s Jaws (1975) has stayed with me. Not just for the scares but for the human moments, like Brodie playing copycat with his son or in this instance, the moment our three protagonists drunkenly share stories, forgetting the deathly situation they finds themselves in momentarily, whilst Amity’s swim reaper waits outside.”

BUCKING HELL is released exclusively through 24 FOOT SQUARE – SHORT SUBJECTS via Amazon in the UK and US on 27th October.
