Yesterday marked National Dog Day! There is no greater time to give your dog a break than taking them on holiday.

New research from Haven revealed, limiting accommodation options is the number one factor (25%) which stops dog owners going away on holiday with their pets.

So we have worked with dog experts and Haven to come up with a list of walks, breaks and doggy treats around the East Of England to help inspire dog owners to give their pets a well-deserved break.

Best for discovering a slice of the UK’s history – Norfolk

If your family and pooch want to discover a slice of the past; Burgh Castle is one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in the country. Built in the late 3rd century AD on a low cliff above the Waveney estuary, its an impressive sight. Take a stroll back in time along the river all the way up to the Roman ruins and experience one of the oldest historical sites in the UK. The Lacon Arms situated just past Yarmouth beach in Hemsby, is a great pet friendly pub with outside space, water bowls and treats available to pets and their owners.
