Sothcott hints at Carry On film disaster

When EssexTV caught up with Jonathan Sothcott yesterday they showed him Amanda Holden’s recent interview in which she expressed her desire to appear in a new Carry On film.

Jonathan, who last year announced his intention to make Carry On Doctors and Carry On Campus in a blaze of publicity, has some bad news for Amanda: “she’s great but it will never happen… i wasted so much time and energy on that fool’s errand. I’ve never come across so much avarice and desperation on a film project.

It’s an utter mess & it’d take a better man than me to push that amount of water uphill. It fell apart for the same reason Carry On London did a decade ago: greed. Peope say I could write a book about my experiences with Carry On last year. In fact i’ve been approached about it. It would be a real film industry cautionary tale.”

Sothcott later tweeted the Holden interview with the comment “FULL STORY ON LAST YEAR’S CARRY ON ABORTION COMING SOON” – so perhaps he’s sharpening his pencil already.
