Work is progressing well on a new care home in Chelmsford which is three months away from completion and set to deliver a new standard of later living for elders in the city.
The purpose-built care home, located on Galleywood Road, from leading operator Lovett Care is fast taking shape with practical completion on track for early October.
Designed to deliver more in every way for local elders and their families, Lovett’s new home will combine expert care with beautifully designed surroundings, creating a place where older people can feel safe, supported and truly at home.
Construction is advancing at pace, with the external brickwork and roof tiling complete and the expert team of contractors and tradespeople working hard on the interior to ensure the development remains on schedule as it edges closer to completion.
Once complete, Chelmsford Manor will offer a warm and welcoming environment, catering for the needs of the elderly community in Chelmsford and surrounding areas. It will provide high-quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a safe, comfortable and home-from-home setting with the ability to provide expert continuity of care as needs change over time.
Deputy managing director at Lovett Care, Dawn Collett, commented: “With around three months to go, we are delighted with how work is progressing at Chelmsford Manor and looking forward to opening in the autumn.
“We have incorporated many years of knowledge and expertise into the development of this new home and it will represent everything that Lovett Care stands for – exceptional care, beautiful surroundings and a genuine commitment to delivering more for our elders.”
Committed to challenging outdated perceptions of ageing by creating care homes that deliver more, Lovett’s Chelmsford Manor care home will offer thoughtfully designed spaces filled with warmth, comfort and light including private en suite bedrooms, a choice of communal lounges and dining rooms, spa assisted bathrooms, a hair salon and nail bar plus beautifully landscaped gardens and outside spaces.
The impressive facility will also provide high end hotel-style services including fine dining, concierge and a busy and varied programme of wellness activities and events to ensure residents remain healthy, fulfilled and active.
The right combination of people on the permanent care team is central to the Lovett Care approach and the company has already started to recruit locally for the 100-strong team.
“We believe older people deserve to live in places where they feel valued, heard and truly at home,” continues Dawn, “And Chelmsford Manor has been designed with exactly that in mind. Filled with joy, togetherness and compassion, we are looking forward to opening, welcoming our first residents and their families and becoming a firm part of the community in Chelmsford.”
