The Grove Shopping Centre in Witham is set to host an exciting day of free family entertainment this May, as larger-than-life Transformers characters arrive for a special half term event.
Taking place on Tuesday 26th May from 10am until 3pm, visitors can expect incredible robotic characters appearing at intervals throughout the centre, meeting guests, posing for photos and bringing the world of Transformers to life. The event is designed to appeal to children, families and fans of all ages, offering a unique opportunity to get up close to these impressive figures and capture memorable moments.
Adding to the day’s activities, The Witham Hub will be joining the event with a range of family-friendly experiences. Visitors can enjoy a crafts table and a selection of tasty treats, available in exchange for a small donation to support the charity’s work within the local community. Families are also invited to take part in a colouring competition, donated by The Grove Shopping Centre but hosted by The Witham Hub, with three winners set to be selected, offering an extra element of fun for younger visitors.
A face painter will also be available for children to enjoy following their Transformers experience, helping to create a full day of interactive entertainment (charges may apply). The Witham Library on behalf of Essex County Council will also be joining the event, bringing a range of interactive children’s workshops. Visitors can also meet the team from The Witham and Maldon Swans, who will be attending with a toy stall packed with games, gifts and family-friendly treasures.
As visitors explore the centre, they can also expect a welcoming buzz throughout, with local businesses selling handpicked goodies for the occasion.
Adrian Gillings, Centre Manager at The Grove Shopping Centre, commented: “We’re delighted to be bringing such a fun and engaging event to Witham this half term. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, enjoy free entertainment and spend time in the centre. We’re also pleased to be working alongside The Witham Hub to support their important work in the community.”
The event is free to attend, making it an ideal half term activity for families looking for something fun, accessible and engaging.
