Small business owners from Essex are being given a once-in-a-lifetime chance to pitch their dream idea to Simon Squibb’s HelpBnk team at an inspiring Business Bootcamp hosted by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

The event takes place next month at the beautiful Granary Estates near Newmarket, bringing together entrepreneurs from across the East of England for a full day of insight, inspiration, and hands-on business advice.

One of the event’s headline attractions will be the arrival of HelpBnk’s iconic ‘Dream Machine’ bus, giving ticket holders the chance to step onboard and pitch their business idea for funding and mentorship from HelpBnk’s panel of successful entrepreneurs – potentially including Simon Squibb himself and Sir Richard Branson.

Adam Smith, co-founder of HelpBnk, joins a stellar speaker line-up that includes Essex-based entrepreneur and Apprentice star Chisola Chitambala, and BBC Look East Senior Political Reporter Simon Dedman. They’ll be joined by local business leaders, journalists, and influencers sharing real-world strategies on growth, sales, and resilience.

“FSB’s East of England Business Bootcamp is a fantastic way to learn new skills, gain insight, and network with hundreds of small business owners,” said Ann Scott, FSB Regional Business and Stakeholder Manager.

“We’re thrilled to have HelpBnk involved – Simon Squibb has captured the imagination of so many aspiring entrepreneurs and having co-founder Adam Smith join us is a huge win for our region”.

“ We’re equally ecstatic to have Essex represented in Chisola Chitambala. Her inspiring journey is full of navigating challenges, pivoting during adversity, adapting her business, and staying true to her values – experiences that embody the theme of our Business Bootcamp, (Harvesting Resilience)”.

Ann added: “As a membership organisation supporting small businesses and sole traders, we know how tough it can be to access quality advice and opportunities – that’s why we’ve kept ticket prices low to make this event accessible to everyone.”

Thanks to the generous support of sponsors Trade Remedies Authority, Ginger Pickle Marketing, Suffolk County Council, and the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, tickets are priced from just £10, including lunch.

Only attendees with a ticket will be able to access HelpBnk’s Dream Machine.
