The latest Compassionate Business Networking event will take place at the University of Essex’s Innovation Centre, Knowledge Gateway, Boundary Road, Colchester on 25 June from 8.30-10.30am.

The organisers are calling on business leaders to join them at the event to find out more about compassion in the workplace. The event will also include a presentation from the acclaimed podcaster and author, Jason Cattrell.

Jason will deliver his thought-provoking presentation, See, Hear & Feel – Negotiation Essentials for Business Leaders + Upside Down Management, and how a Compassionate approach to business is good for the whole community. Jason will discuss the principles of negotiation, equipping business leaders with the skills to navigate business interactions with confidence and clarity.

Leading the Compassionate Business Network is Greg Cooper, Head of Community Asset Development and Partnerships, St Helena Hospice. He says: “We’re a growing community of like-minded organisations and we’d encourage more businesses to get involved.

“The Compassionate Business Network is an exciting initiative set-up to create an alliance of businesses which support colleagues and others experiencing life’s most difficult moments. The network encourages businesses to share best practices in caring for staff and ensuring discussions around health, wellbeing and bereavement are part of relaxed and regular workplace conversations.”

He continued: “Having those tricky conversations can be hard, that’s why we’re here to help. We want to support businesses to open-up and support their employees – happy staff make productive workplaces.”

The event will also include networking opportunities where organisations will be encouraged to share knowledge and experience of local projects and initiatives.

Tickets cost £15.00; parking and refreshments are included. To book via Eventbrite, visit www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1362811328369?aff=oddtdtcreator. Proceeds from sales enables the hosting of Compassionate Businesses events in northeast Essex.
