Essex’s most anticipated festival is fast approaching and we cannot wait! The weather is starting to improve again, let’s hope it’s on its best behaviour this weekend for the 21nd year of V Fest!

Despite there being talk of disappointment at last year’s festival with Bieber being hungover and accused of miming, Rihanna 30 minutes late on stage, let’s hope this year these top 5 contenders up their game and impress the crowd!

With Jay Z headlining this year, one of the ‘Greatest selling artists of all time’, he’ll be sure to deliver a blinder. The rap artist will perform many hits, including those from decades ago which will include those from his double platinum selling album: Magna Carter.

Pink is the second headliner of the weekend and the festival goers are sure to be rocking and rolling along to her tracks, with an undoubtable feeling of nostalgia for the pop icon.

She’ll be sure to get the party started…

With Craig David taking a break from his residency at Ibiza rocks, he’s an act we definitely cannot miss. Throwing in some old R&B classics as well as his most recent album, complete with a DJ set, Craig has it all and never disappoints his fans!

Last year the unstoppable rise of grime MC Stormzy was taken to another level on the main stage at V Festival. Now Stormzy’s career has gone from strength to strength with an unforgettable performance at The Brit Awards at the beginning of the year with Ed Sheeran- he certainly knows how to please the crowd.

And last but not least… how could we forget Ella Eyre. She went a little off the radar but has since returned bigger than ever with her fantastic new single ft. Sigala: ‘I Came Here For Love’.

Ella’s acoustic tracks are also ones to listen out for – slowed down and stripped back shows the versatility of her voice! With quirky croakiness to her voice and a remarkable tone, she’s one artist we can certainly be assured will not be miming!
